seeing things through god’s eyes

Racial unity can occur when the Church begins to see things the way God does. Consider this passage from Isaiah 55:8:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

This passage helps us understand the vast difference between God’s infinite, all-knowing wisdom and our finite, human understanding. We should understand that God’s thoughts transcend our comprehension. His ways are beyond our grasp. As we seek to understand life’s complexities, we must acknowledge our limitations and humbly turn to Him.

Often it means we won’t understand what His ways are, or even what He’s telling or showing us. Yet even when that’s the case, we can rest assured that He is in control. He is looking out for us. Everything He does is rooted in love and purpose. Our trust in His character allows us to surrender our limited perspectives. Our human understanding is flawed, but trusting in the Lord leads to clarity. Acknowledging His sovereignty allows Him to guide our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Seeing things as God does requires humility, trust, and a willingness to surrender our limited viewpoints. As we seek His wisdom, let’s remember that His ways lead to abundant life and eternal purpose.
